Mission is Possible (MIP) is a small, Christian-based, grass-roots, community outreach group comprised of people from numerous area churches which was created by North Providence Assembly of God.
Karen Quattrocchi leads the MIP (Urban Branch) while veteran member Lee Sperduti leads the newly formed MIP (West Bay Branch). Each MIP meets one Monday a month and considers ideas and assesses presentations regarding potential projects. A determination is then made as to the particular mission for that respective month.
Examples of monthly missions include providing food, clothing and prayer to the homeless in Providence, ministering to people in hospitals, nursing homes or Prov Rescue Mission, or assisting disaster relief efforts (such as Samaritan's Purse).
MIP actively seeks to form spiritual and social connections with Christians and others throughout RI in order to better serve one another. One such project, for example, combines efforts of our MIP volunteers with student interns (community partners) from RI public high schools as we minister the Gospel to incarcerated youth.
It is a wonderful and respectful mix of both spiritual and secular worlds, and is certainly the most popular of projects!
